With a new face for the team, the GTA AllStars enter into the Northern Football Conference's 2014 season with a fresh perspective and new General Manager Craig Boyd.
Boyd has a long history in the Ontario Football Conference and the NFC; he was an integral part of the Ottawa Sooners during their rein in the early 90's, he spent the 2012 season as General Manager for the Brampton Bears as well as being awarded the Sid Forster Award for coaching in his 2002 season with the Belleville Panthers; Craig brings a great wealth of knowledge and experience to this year's team.
When asked about his outlook going into this season, he says "It's going to be such a wonderful problem to have so much talent to pick from and draw from; that mixed with the group of core players will make the possibilities for the team endless. Our goal is definitely to compete for the National Championship this year".
Owner, Didi Nwagbo, is looking forward to having Boyd join the team. "I'm happy to bring Craig [Boyd] on board because of his experience around the NFC and within the Brampton Bears organizations. I think it's going to be easy to work with him because it takes a lot to know how to run a football team and he has those skills that will enable him to do that. He will be a great asset to my organization."
